SALAMANDER PUMPS E-SCHOOL
Thursday, April 16 2020
The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in all non-essential UK workers - including many plumbers and installers – working from home, while plumbing students are now having to learn remotely. This has led to many tradesmen, apprentices and students finding themselves with more time on their hands than anticipated.
In fact, now is the perfect time to refresh your knowledge and learn about the latest products or industry developments to help build your business when things return to the ‘new normal.’ For those looking to use their additional time to upskill themselves, Salamander Pumps, has a range of online tools to help installers and students learn more about boosting a home’s water pressure.
The Salamander eSchool
Developed in conjunction with the CIPHE, Salamander has a free online tool packed with helpful training modules that feature games, interactive imagery, multiple choice tests, and animated technical videos. The eSchool is designed to give users the knowledge, applications and best practice for installing all of Salamander’s products.
Salamander’s eSchool can be accessed here or through Salamander’s Installer Hub, which has the added bonus for installers to collect loyalty points and request to be featured on Salamander’s digital Installer Map, if they register their training module scores.
The eSchool features a host of modules on topics such as Gravity Fed systems, EVE product training, and the new AccuBoost accumulator tanks. Installer and students will need a score of at least 80% on each module to pass, however, participants are allowed unlimited attempts with the highest score being recorded.
Salamander has a host of helpful tutorial videos which are free for all to access on the Salamander YouTube channel. Here, you’ll find everything from ‘How to install’ videos on a variety of Salamander products, including the new AccuBoost accumulator tanks, to top tips on avoiding common shower pump installation pitfalls. All the videos are around 2-3 minutes long with informative animated graphics, making it easy for users to take in the key learnings.
There is also an array of educational blog posts on the Salamander website, which provide a useful written supplement to its YouTube videos, such as ‘The differences between regenerative and centrifugal pumps’. Installers will also find more detailed specs of Salamanders products here, helping them decide which pumps are best suited to each type of system.
