TankBoost Installation To Improve Water Flow in B&B and Cafe

Problem: 

When poor water flow during peak times was beginning to cause business problems for a B&B, Chris at Fawcett Plumbing Heating LTD was contacted to see if he could give the customer a solution.

The customer found that the flow to the kitchen taps was dropping off too much when the shower, or other taps were being used. When tested, the flow coming from the kitchen taps was 11 L/min when both sinks were in use. This lack of flow was beginning to cause issues for the business, including delays in service times in the café and poor showers for the B&B guests.

Solution: 

The suggested installation was a TankBoost 350L to supply hot water via an unvented cylinder to the kitchen, as well as four ensuites in the B&B. A 350L insulation jacket was also recommended to ensure the temperature of the water was maintained effectively, by enhancing the thermal efficiently of the TankBoost unit.

Once the installation was completed, another water test was carried out which discovered that TankBoost had made a big improvement to the water flow, taking the flow rate from 11 L/min to 18 L/min.
