Can TankBoost be used with an air source heat pump system?
Yes, TankBoost can be used in an air source heat pump (ASHP) system when it is installed alongside an unvented hot water cylinder. Because unvented cylinders rely on mains water pressure and flow, if there is an inadequate supply, the water performance from the ASHP will be hindered. Installing a TankBoost after the mains water supply will improve the water pressure and flow (up to either 3.0 Bar and 80 L/min or 5.0 Bar and 120 L/min) going into the unvented cylinder and therefore improve the water performance received from the ASHP system.
We recommend checking the ASHP manufacturers guide for further information.
