WELCOME OUR NEW NATIONAL ACCOUNT MANAGER

We’re delighted to have appointed Simon Platts as a National Account Manager following six successful years with us in the business.
Simon was promoted to Key Account Manager last year, responsible for running the Plumbing and Heating Group (PHG) which included 300+ branches. Now, after supporting Salamander in achieving its ambitious growth plans over the past 12 months, Simon’s new role will see him taking on a country-wide sales role.
As National Account Manager, Simon will work on building relationships with key national merchants up and down the country, working closely with our National Sales Manager, Adam Brand, and the Salamander sales team in order to fulfil his client’s requirements.
Simon comments: “When I joined the company there was a big focus on developing good relationships with existing clients and through innovative R&D and a dedicated sales team, we have grown an additional £4m in the last 5 years, and for me, it’s great to be part of a performing, and winning team”
Before joining Salamander, Simon spent eight years as branch manager at a national merchant. He therefore understands the processes and pressures the merchants face when it comes to stock holding and selling in small areas.
